DO NOT PASS GO
This isn’t your grandparents’ board game! Do Not Pass Go is our elevated “chase” experience, based upon the beloved classic board game, Monopoly®. While all twenty-two properties, as well as the railroads and utilities, are in play, the properties are grouped according to color and “stationed” at various landmarks in your city. Each team has its own chauffeur-driven vehicle, transporting them from landmark to landmark. At each of these landmarks, teams encounter “Mr. Moneybags,” ready to facilitate transactions and rolls of the dice. Armed with an attache case, ring-boxed player piece, location key, and starting cash, collaboration, communication, and cunning know-how are all essential to build a monopoly and win the game.
The Experience At A Glance
At the experience kick-off, the ice is broken, and a competitive frame of mind is implemented, teams are formed, and captains are chosen.
The quest for victory lies in each and every player’s hands. Any team is free to conquer the game board and own monopolies of properties.
Whether the thimble, the dog, the ship, or other, we utilize a completely randomized method for teams to select their player piece.
Immediately following the selection of player pieces, one representative from each team randomly selects a sealed envelope that contains the team’s first play option. At that point, teams are off to their first landmark where they may purchase the property from their original envelope, or pay their fine and roll the dice, if their first envelope contains a penalty.
Each Do Not Pass Go experience is individually designed for the specific city/area in which it takes place, utilizing local landmarks and sights, so that your participants are educated as well as entertained.
As teams arrive at the various landmarks, the on-site Mr. Moneybags calls the bankers, who are at a hidden location, to see if money needs to be distributed to the team for rent collected from other teams. At that point, if the property the team has arrived at is available for purchase, it may purchase it, if it has enough money. Otherwise it owes rent.
If a team runs out of money, it may take out a loan from Mr. Moneybags, at any of the landmarks. Beware . . . interest on these loans isn’t cheap!
In addition, at every landmark, Mr. Moneybags has community chest and chance cards that teams will play, if the roll of the dice lands them on those squares on the game board. Don’t be fooled . . . Free Parking, In Jail / Just Visiting, Go To Jail, Luxury Tax, and Income Tax are all in play, too!
All teams must be at the final location by the designated time, where they play their final rounds face-to-face, have the opportunity to barter, purchase, and sell properties with the other teams. The bankers then count all monies and assets and announce the winning team to thunderous applause.
"The experience with Premier Team Building was great right from the start. Matt was always available to answer any questions and make sure we would have a good experience.
His team was fun and engaging and the activities they came up for our event were a good time. I would most certainly reach out again for our next corporate event."
